The teams that build the Caribbean.
James Griffin is a director of Thatcher Associates and leads the Caribbean construction and property desk. He places the professional and management layer on island projects: quantity surveyors, project managers, MEP and design staff, superintendents and planners, for main contractors and developers across the Bahamas, Bermuda and the wider region. Every role James is running is on this page.

James Griffin
James has the longest standing client relationships in the Caribbean construction market and is known personally by most of the main contractors working the islands. His book is senior and technical rather than trade: the people who price the job, plan it, coordinate the design and run the site. Several of the packages he works are tax free, which changes the maths for a candidate considerably.
“Island construction is unforgiving. Materials arrive by boat, the weather sets the programme and the good people already know each other. You do not recruit into that from a database, you recruit into it from relationships.”

No call centre, no hand-off, the person who runs the desk is the person you'll deal with.
