Project Engineer

The opportunity

Our client is an established contractor delivering renovation and infrastructure works across the Caribbean. They are about to start a twelve month renovation programme covering 25 separate locations, and they need supervisors who can take a section of it and run it properly.

What you will be doing

• Running the works day to day at your allocated locations, reporting to the Project Manager
• Directing and steering a mix of directly employed labour, plant operators and subcontractors
• Keeping several work fronts moving at once, across a programme spread over 25 sites
• Holding subcontractors to programme and to standard, and flagging slippage early rather than late
• Feeding progress, resource needs and problems back to the PM honestly

What you will need

• Experience running your own crew on renovation, refurbishment or fit out works
• A track record steering directly employed labour, plant operators and subcontractors, not just one of the three
• The ability to work across multiple locations rather than settling into one fixed site
• Willingness to relocate for a twelve month contract, starting as soon as you are available

Previous overseas or Caribbean project experience, and exposure to hotel, resort or commercial refurbishment, will help but are not essential.
