Purchasing Officer

Anguilla. Permanent role with Thatcher Associates, the specialist hospitality desk.

Anguilla Permanent Hospitality Posted 25 August 2026

About the role

Purchasing Officer, Ultra-Luxury Resort

Anguilla | Good Salary, dependent on experience | Accommodation contributions and company benefits included
The Opportunity:
A Caribbean property runs a fully all-inclusive, bespoke guest experience, which means purchasing has to be tight, well planned, and responsive to constantly changing guest requirements. The Purchasing Officer is responsible for sourcing and procuring everything the property needs, from food and beverage through to housekeeping and maintenance supplies, on a remote island where lead times matter.

This role suits someone highly organised who enjoys the logistics side of hospitality as much as the numbers. You will work closely with department heads across the property to forecast needs accurately and keep supply chains running smoothly, often with limited local sourcing options.

What you will be doing:

• Managing purchasing across food and beverage, housekeeping, spa and engineering departments
• Building and maintaining supplier relationships locally and internationally
• Forecasting stock needs against guest bookings and seasonal demand
• Negotiating pricing and terms while maintaining quality standards
• Managing purchase orders, invoicing and stock reconciliation
What you will need:
  • Proven purchasing or procurement experience within a hotel, resort or hospitality setting
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Comfortable working with import logistics and remote island supply chains
  • Experience purchasing for a Caribbean or other island based property would be an advantage but is not essential.
What is on offer:
  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
  • Live in accommodation
  • Relocation support for the right candidate
