Operations Manager
Anguilla. Permanent role with Thatcher Associates, the specialist hospitality desk.
About the role
Anguilla | Salary competitive, dependent on experience | Accommodation contributions and good benefits on offer
The Opportunity:
Our client operates one of the most exclusive private resort properties in the Caribbean, delivering a fully bespoke, all inclusive experience to a discerning international clientele. As the property welcomes one group of guests at a time rather than running to standard occupancy, every stay is planned and executed to an exceptionally high standard, and the Operations Manager sits at the centre of making that happen.
This is a hands on leadership role for someone who genuinely enjoys the operational detail as much as the strategic picture. You will be the day to day custodian of guest experience, staffing and standards across the property, working closely with ownership and department heads to ensure every stay runs seamlessly from arrival to departure. It suits someone from a five star resort or ultra high end villa background who is comfortable leading a small, close knit team rather than a large hotel structure.
What you will be doing:
• Overseeing daily operations across accommodation, food and beverage, spa, activities and guest services
• Leading and developing department heads and a wider team of hospitality professionals
• Managing rota, budget and cost control across departments
• Acting as the main point of contact for VIP guests and resolving issues in real time
• Working with ownership on standards, training and continuous improvement
What you will need:
• Proven operations or resort management experience at a five star or ultra luxury property
• A track record of leading multi department teams in a live in or remote island setting
• Strong financial and budgetary control skills
Experience specifically with private villa or exclusive use resort operations, or prior Caribbean experience, would be an advantage but is not essential.
What is on offer:
• Competitive salary, dependent on experience
• Live in accommodation
• Relocation support for the right candidate
