Gas Engineer

Salisbury and Amesbury | £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience | Company van, fuel card and full package

Our client is a well established facilities management business, trading for over 20 years, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across commercial contracts in the South West. They're looking for a commercial gas and oil engineer to service, maintain and repair heating plant across a varied portfolio of commercial sites.

No two days look the same here. You could be servicing a commercial boiler house in the morning and attending an oil fired breakdown on a rural site in the afternoon, working across a client base that values getting it fixed properly first time.

What you'll be doing

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial gas and oil fired heating systems and plant
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown work
• Diagnosing faults on a range of commercial appliances and boiler plant
• Completing compliance documentation and certification to schedule
• Working directly with site contacts and facilities managers, so clear communication on site matters

What you'll need

• Gas Safe registration with Domestic or commercial ACS qualifications (ACS)
• OFTEC qualification for oil fired appliances
• A full UK driving licence

Experience with commercial catering equipment, warm air systems, or building management systems would be an advantage, but isn't essential.

The practical detail

38 hours a week, plus an expectation of participation in an out of hours or call out rota (details to be confirmed at interview). Some sites may fall outside the immediate Salisbury and Amesbury area.
