Commercial gas and HVAC engineer (temporary boiler and chiller hire), Redditch

The opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing specialist HVAC hire company, supplying temporary commercial boilers and air-cooled chillers to keep customer sites running when their own systems fail. Off the back of continued growth, they're looking to add an engineer to their team out of the Redditch depot.

You'll lead on install, service and maintenance work on customer sites, joining an experienced team who'll back you up and share what they know. It suits someone equally comfortable across gas and refrigeration, who wants variety over standing still in one plant room.

What you will be doing

• Installing, servicing and maintaining temporary commercial boilers and air-cooled chillers on customer sites
• Working in commercial boiler rooms, including forced draft burners running on natural gas and oil
• Fault-finding across chilled water systems, AHUs and air-cooled chillers
• Working with electrical services and control wiring as part of the wider install and maintenance team

What you will need

• Hands-on experience with commercial mechanical pipework, boiler rooms and commercial boilers (forced draft burners)
• Confidence working with natural gas and oil
• Knowledge of chilled water systems, AHUs and air-cooled chillers, including fault-finding
• A solid grasp of electrical services and control wiring
• Commercial Gas Safe and F-Gas Refrigeration certification
• A full, clean driving licence

The practical detail

Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, based out of the Redditch depot, plus overtime and a paid on-call rotation.
