We're working with a well-established main contractor in the Channel Islands, appointing a Project Manager to take ownership of the facades element of their current portfolio. The projects sit in the £20 million to £40 million range, and the pipeline behind them is strong, so this is a role with a clear run of work ahead of it rather than a single scheme.
The role
You'll lead the facade packages from procurement through to completion, taking responsibility for programme, cost, quality and safety across your scope. Day to day, that means working closely with the in-house delivery team, the client and their consultants, and the specialist subcontractors and suppliers who make the packages happen. You'll be the point of reference for facade matters on site: driving design coordination, holding the supply chain to programme, and resolving the technical and commercial issues that come with complex envelope work before they become problems.
What we're looking for
You'll have a solid track record managing facade packages on projects of comparable scale, ideally within the education or commercial sectors. Experience of NEC contracts would be useful, but it isn't essential. Beyond the technical side, this is a role that suits someone who is comfortable dealing directly with clients, confident holding subcontractors to account, and happy to work in a close-knit team where your input is visible.
