About the role
Thatcher Associates has been retained by a leading UK main contractor to identify a Construction Director for a major bridge infrastructure programme in the Caribbean, valued at approximately $100 million.
This is a senior executive appointment carrying full accountability for the strategic direction, governance and delivery of a complex, nationally significant infrastructure project.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will hold end-to-end responsibility for programme delivery, from strategic planning through to completion. The role requires strong governance oversight, commercial acumen and the ability to lead a large, multidisciplinary delivery team on a scheme of national importance.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and directing the overall delivery strategy for the programme
- Providing governance and assurance across all phases of construction
- Holding senior accountability for programme performance, risk and stakeholder management
- Leading and directing a large project team, including subcontractors and technical specialists
- Acting as the principal point of contact with the client and regulatory stakeholders
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should have a demonstrable track record delivering major infrastructure or civil engineering programmes at main contractor level, ideally including bridge or large-scale structural works. Experience operating at Director level, with responsibility for governance, risk and stakeholder management on high-value schemes, is essential.
Remuneration and Package
This appointment may be offered on an expatriate rotational basis, or to suitably qualified local candidates, with the package structured accordingly.
