Water Main Service Lateral / Pipe Installers

 Our client, a well-established utilities and infrastructure contractor, is looking for experienced Pipe Installers to join major water mains installation projects across Exuma and Eleuthera.

This is a hands-on role for someone with solid underground utility experience who can work confidently in trenches, read construction drawings, and get pipe laid to spec, safely and on time.

What you'll be doing

• Installing and connecting water service laterals to existing mains and customer connections
• Laying, aligning and joining various types and sizes of water distribution piping (PVC, HDPE, ductile iron and similar)
• Assisting with trench preparation, pipe bedding, backfilling and compaction
• Installing valves, fittings, hydrants, meters and related appurtenances
• Carrying out leak detection, pressure testing, flushing and disinfection of new lines
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, utility plans and grade specifications
• Identifying and avoiding existing underground utilities during excavation
• Assisting with emergency repairs and restoration of water services as required

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years' experience in underground utility, water distribution, pipeline or civil construction work
• Experience installing PVC, HDPE, ductile iron or similar water distribution piping
• Sound knowledge of safe excavation and trenching practices
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including standing, lifting and bending for extended periods
• A valid driver's licence (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
