Foreman / Crew Leader – Water Mains Installation, Exuma & Eleuthera, Bahamas

About the role
Our client, a construction and infrastructure contractor operating across the Bahamas, is seeking an experienced Foreman / Crew Leader to lead water mains installation projects in Exuma and Eleuthera.
This is a hands-on supervisory role for someone who has run crews on utility or civil construction sites and knows water distribution work inside out, from excavation through to commissioning.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise pipe layers, operators, labourers and subcontractors
- Coordinate excavation, trenching, water main installation, valves, hydrants, testing and restoration
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications
- Run daily safety meetings and site inspections
- Monitor crew productivity, equipment utilisation and material usage
- Maintain daily reports, production records and safety documentation
- Liaise with engineers, inspectors, utility representatives and project management
What you'll need
- 5 to 10 years of water main, utility or civil construction experience
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role
- Experience installing water distribution systems, valves, hydrants and service connections
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- A valid driver's licence
- Working knowledge of excavation, trenching, bedding, backfilling and compaction
- Familiarity with pressure testing, flushing, chlorination and commissioning
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
