An exciting opportunity for a Project Civil Engineer to join a growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across the South West.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of technical delivery, site coordination, and engineering support on a range of civil engineering schemes, working closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

The position would be particularly well-suited to candidates based in Bristol, Somerset, Wiltshire, or South Gloucestershire seeking long-term career development within a progressive project environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects
• Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and engineering solutions
• Coordinate site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements
• Manage setting out activities and ensure quality standards are maintained
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and assist in resolving technical challenges
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
• Support commercial and project management teams with reporting and programme updates
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Assist with project planning, procurement, and resource coordination

The Ideal Candidate:

• Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, Civil Engineer, or Section Engineer
• Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methodologies
• Experience working on infrastructure, highways, earthworks, drainage, utilities, structures, public realm, or environmental projects
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Full UK driving licence
