Site Engineer – Bermuda

Salary: USD $150,000–$160,000 (Low-tax jurisdiction)
Contract: Initial 12–18-month full-time contract - entendable
Status: Single-status appointment (limited on-island schooling options)

This position is based in Bermuda, a high-performing international construction environment with major commercial projects and strong offshore investment. With limited schooling options, this opportunity is offered on a single-status basis, suitable for candidates relocating unaccompanied.

The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established contractor delivering complex commercial and industrial buildings, is seeking experienced Site Engineers to support the delivery of large programmes of work exceeding $20M in value. This role combines technical site engineering with on-the-ground coordination, quality management, and documentation control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, supporting junior engineers and supervising subcontractors.

  • Carry out surveys, setting out, grid layouts, and engineering record keeping.

  • Produce redline as-built drawings and support the wider design/documentation workflow.

  • Manage the Owner’s EDMS, overseeing RFIs, submittals, quality processes and as-built documentation.

  • Support safety planning, including hazard analysis, risk assessments, reporting and investigations.

About You

  • Recognised engineering qualification.

  • Experience with Leica/Trimble total stations and related software.

  • Ability to interpret and produce construction drawings (AutoCAD beneficial).

  • Scheduling experience desirable.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience on major commercial/industrial projects.
