I set up Thatcher Associates in 2000 and have spent twenty-five years learning markets from the ground up and placing the people who run and build things. I have led a team of up to forty people at one point, and worked alongside a number of advisors and non-execs over the years, so I know what it takes to build something and keep it running. Thatcher Associates is a British firm that has worked internationally since 2005, and today it runs as a remote-first network of specialists, with the map growing as new partners join and bring their own niche, relationships and clients.
What I want now is to do that again, with other people. Good specialists anywhere, here or overseas, who know a niche, hold the relationships, and would rather run their own desk with a firm behind them than go it alone. I take the time to understand how your market actually works, map it properly with you, and support you by setting up the systems you need to operate effectively. I work closely with you for the first few months, then take more of a back seat, there to advise and support rather than disappear and leave you to it.
