Technical Coordinator

Job Title: Technical Coordinator
Reporting to: Technical Department Lead

Overview:

An established, design-led residential developer is seeking a Technical Coordinator/ Senior Coordinator to support the delivery of new build housing developments from planning through to construction.

Working within a collaborative technical team, you will play a key role in coordinating design information, managing consultants, and ensuring technical compliance across multiple residential schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate external consultants including architects, engineers and specialist designers

• Manage the flow of technical information from planning approval through to construction issue

• Review and comment on drawings to ensure compliance with Building Regulations, NHBC and relevant standards

• Assist in discharging planning conditions and managing statutory approvals

• Support the preparation and management of technical specifications and working drawing packages

• Liaise with internal departments including land, planning, commercial and construction teams

• Monitor design progress against programme and highlight risks

• Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and buildable

• Support site teams with technical queries and design clarifications

Requirements:

• Experience within a Technical role in residential development

• Understanding of UK Building Regulations and housing standards

• Exposure to planning conditions and technical approvals processes

• Strong coordination and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Ideal Person:

• Background in housebuilding and house worked for a housebuilder previously

• Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach

• Keen to develop within a growing technical team
