Site Engineer / Assistant Project Manager (Building or Civil Engineering Background)

Thatcher Associates is recruiting for a well-established and highly regarded contractor operating across the British Virgin Islands and Antigua & Barbuda. This opportunity would suit someone currently working as a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer with a relevant degree, who is ready to progress into an Assistant Project Manager role.

The Role

You will support project delivery across a range of building projects, many of which incorporate substantial civil engineering elements such as groundworks, foundations and retaining structures. You’ll take responsibility for day-to-day engineering input while steadily developing your project management capability. The role offers balanced exposure to both technical and managerial work — an ideal step for someone looking to progress their career.

Background Required

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

  • Circa 4–5 years’ experience with a significant, well-respected contractor

  • Solid background in site engineering across building or civil engineering projects

  • Ability to work independently and manage technical challenges on site

  • Ambition to transition into an Assistant Project Manager position
