Lead Quantity Surveyor – Turks and Caicos Islands
Location: Turks and Caicos Islands
Relocation: Open to Caribbean and expatriate candidates
Start Date: January or February 2026

Are you a hands-on Quantity Surveyor ready for your next challenge in the Caribbean? This is a unique opportunity to take on a lead role managing the commercial functions for a busy construction office in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

We’re representing a well-established regional construction business seeking an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects valued up to US$10 million. You’ll work closely with a small but capable team and report directly to the company’s senior management.

The Role
As the lead Quantity Surveyor, you’ll manage the full commercial lifecycle of multiple small to mid-scale construction projects from pre-contract to final account. You’ll be supported by one other QS, but the position requires someone self-sufficient, organised, and confident leading from the front.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Managing cost control, valuations, and cash flow across concurrent projects

  • Preparing tenders, estimates, and progress claims

  • Handling subcontractor procurement, measurement, and variation management

  • Producing financial reports and cost forecasts for management

  • Liaising directly with clients, consultants, and suppliers

  • Supporting and mentoring the junior QS

  • Ensuring compliance with contractual and financial procedures

About You
You’ll be a confident and experienced professional who enjoys autonomy and can represent the commercial function independently.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor

  • Strong commercial and contractual acumen across diverse project types

  • Background in building construction (offices, retail, or government works preferred)

  • Comfortable running projects independently up to US$10m in value

  • Capable of mentoring and supporting other team members

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Caribbean or remote island work experience

  • Experience with public sector or government contracts

  • Familiarity with cruise line or port-related developments

  • CSME Certificate beneficial for work permit processing

Applications are warmly welcomed from Caribbean nationals.

The Opportunity
This is a long-term position offering strong stability and ongoing project work, particularly with government clients. It suits someone who enjoys a quieter lifestyle while leading meaningful, hands-on construction projects in a beautiful and relaxed setting.

If you’re a self-sufficient Quantity Surveyor who’s ready to lead from the front, this could be your ideal Caribbean opportunity.
