Location: Nassau, Bahamas with daily travel to job site by boat

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Manager to lead the installation and delivery of essential utility infrastructure—including water supply, sewage systems, and electrical power—on a remote island development in the Bahamas. This position is based on-site and requires strong technical knowledge, clear communication, and active involvement in construction supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Project Oversight & Site Supervision

  • Manage the daily installation and commissioning of water, sewage, and electrical utility systems.

  • Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure all work follows design specifications, safety regulations, and project timelines.

  • Perform regular inspections and quality control checks on MEP installations and related civil works.

Design Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineers and design consultants to review utility designs and confirm they can be effectively constructed on-site.

  • Contribute technical input during design development, value engineering discussions, and when design modifications are required.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

  • Liaise with equipment suppliers and service providers to coordinate the procurement, delivery, and installation of systems.

  • Oversee subcontractors carrying out MEP installations, ensuring work is completed on schedule and meets project standards.

Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare detailed schedules, short-term work plans, and allocate resources for MEP installation activities.

  • Maintain accurate site documentation including installation records, as-built drawings, and project files.

  • Produce regular progress updates and reports for project stakeholders.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all work complies with Bahamian regulations, international engineering standards, and environmental requirements.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all health and safety policies are followed on-site.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in MEP construction, ideally involving utility infrastructure in remote or island locations.

  • Solid understanding of water treatment systems, sewage management, and electrical power distribution.

  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors on complex construction projects.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous work on island developments or off-grid infrastructure projects.

  • Familiarity with sustainable or resilient infrastructure solutions.

  • Experience dealing with the challenges of marine or coastal construction environments.
