The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger activities, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with internal policies.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting, the Junior Accountant will provide foundational accounting support across financial and operational areas. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting cycles, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the Finance function.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments

Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities

Maintain accurate financial records and audit-ready documentation
Accounts Receivable & Billing

Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices
-
Record and reconcile customer payments in the ERP system
-
Monitor receivables ageing and assist with collections follow-ups

Manage and respond to accounts receivable inquiries in a timely manner
Cash Management & Reconciliations

Reconcile bank accounts and corporate credit card statements

Investigate and resolve discrepancies efficiently

Maintain organised reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation
Operational & Departmental Support

Maintain fixed asset registers and prepare depreciation schedules

Assist with project accounting, including cost tracking and reporting

Support accounts payable processing and vendor reconciliations

Contribute to internal controls, policies, and procedures

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance-related matters

Assist with audits and provide required financial documentation

Perform additional duties as assigned
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

1–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred
-
Progress toward a professional accounting designation (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an asset
