Finishing Foreman – Caribbean (Tax-Free Location)

Salary: Circa US$90,000 per annum (negotiable)
Working Week: Five and a half days
Status: Single-status role recommended due to limited schooling options

Thatcher Associates is recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction business in the Caribbean. We are seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman with a strong background in delivering high-end residential and five-star hotel projects.

The Role

You will take responsibility for managing direct labour teams to achieve exceptional standards of finish across a range of luxury environments. The work is varied, and quality expectations are extremely high. You will be involved in delivering premium finishes across areas such as:

  • High-end joinery and cabinetry

  • Specialist plaster and decorative finishes

  • High-quality glazing and interiors

  • Bars, restaurants and other detailed interior fit-out zones

This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisation, a practical leadership style, and a clear understanding of the craftsmanship needed on luxury projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate direct labour teams to deliver high-end finishes

  • Maintain strict quality control and ensure workmanship meets luxury standards

  • Plan, sequence and monitor daily finishing activities

  • Work closely with site management, subcontractors and design teams

  • Identify and resolve finishing issues promptly to maintain programme

  • Support a positive, collaborative site culture

  • Ensure all works are completed safely and professionally

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman or Finishing Supervisor

  • Background in high-end residential builds and/or luxury hotel projects

  • Strong understanding of premium interior finishes and detailed craftsmanship

  • Demonstrated ability to manage direct labour effectively

  • Confident overseeing specialist trades and multiple finishing packages

  • Able to operate independently and maintain high standards under pressure
