A confidential opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chief Engineer to join a luxury hospitality operation in the Caribbean.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all engineering, maintenance, utilities, infrastructure, life safety systems, and capital improvement projects across a high-profile hospitality environment. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team while ensuring the highest standards of operational reliability, asset protection, guest satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and develop a team of engineering and maintenance professionals
• Oversee preventative maintenance programmes across all facilities and guest areas
• Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water treatment, generators, pumps, pools, and critical infrastructure systems
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets, capital expenditure plans, and asset replacement programmes
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and specialist service providers
• Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
• Lead emergency response planning and business continuity procedures
• Maintain engineering standards that support an exceptional guest experience

The Ideal Candidate:
• Previous experience as a Chief Engineer, Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager, or similar senior hospitality engineering role
• Strong background within luxury hotels, resorts, mixed-use developments, or large-scale hospitality assets
• Extensive knowledge of MEP systems, utilities, and preventative maintenance programmes
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams
• Strong financial, planning, and project management capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Previous experience as a Chief Engineer, Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager, or similar senior hospitality engineering role
• Strong background within luxury hotels, resorts, mixed-use developments, or large-scale hospitality assets
• Extensive knowledge of MEP systems, utilities, and preventative maintenance programmes
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams
