A leading hospitality organisation in the Caribbean is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the engineering and maintenance operations of a large-scale luxury hospitality asset.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all resort infrastructure, utilities, accommodation facilities, recreational amenities, and back-of-house operations. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team while driving preventative maintenance programmes, capital improvement initiatives, and operational excellence across the property.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and develop the engineering and maintenance team
• Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water treatment, power generation, and life safety systems
• Drive asset management and capital improvement projects
• Manage departmental budgets and contractor relationships
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards
• Support sustainability and energy management initiatives
• Maintain exceptional operational standards that enhance the guest experience

Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Chief Engineer, Director of Engineering, or Engineering Manager within hospitality
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building services systems
• Experience managing large maintenance teams and operational budgets
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Caribbean or remote-location experience would be advantageous
