Architectural Technician (BIM)

Location: Nassau, Bahamas

Thatcher Associates is working in partnership with a leading developer and hotel consultancy to deliver a flagship island hospitality project in the Bahamas. We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician (BIM) to join the site-based team, supporting the Senior Design Manager on this prestigious development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production and coordination of BIM models (Revit / Archicad) across architectural packages
  • Develop detailed construction drawings from concept through to IFC stage
  • Produce coordinated GA plans, sections, elevations, and technical details
  • Model and document BOH, F&B, marine, and utility structures to construction level
  • Coordinate architectural models with Structural and MEP disciplines
  • Undertake clash detection and resolve model-based coordination issues
  • Prepare drawing sets for permitting, tender, and construction issue
  • Maintain model integrity, naming conventions, and revision control within Procore
  • Develop technical detailing including waterproofing, façade interfaces, stair/ramp compliance, and hospitality-specific assemblies
  • Support shop drawing reviews and update as-built models
  • Act as the technical BIM and drafting lead, supporting live construction queries on site

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as an Architectural Technician within complex construction or hospitality projects
  • Strong proficiency in BIM software (Revit and/or Archicad)
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary models (Architecture, Structural, MEP)
  • Strong technical detailing capability and understanding of construction methodologies
  • Experience working within a Common Data Environment (Procore preferred)
  • Ability to operate effectively in a site-based, fast-paced project environment

Salary & Package

  • Salary: US$5,500 – $7,500 per month (tax-free)
