Architect – Public Sector Projects (Schools & Colleges)

Our client, a well-established architecture practice, is seeking a talented architect to join their team working on meaningful public sector projects across the UK.
About the Role:
You’ll be working on a portfolio of schools, colleges, and educational buildings – projects that make a real difference to communities. From concept design through to completion, you’ll be involved in all RIBA stages, collaborating with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable buildings.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading design development on education sector projects
- Managing projects through all RIBA stages
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
- Producing technical drawings, specifications, and reports
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations and education-specific standards
- Mentoring junior team members
What We’re Looking For:
- ARB registered architect with several years’ post-qualification experience
- Proven track record delivering public sector buildings, particularly schools or colleges
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
- Knowledge of DfE guidelines and public sector procurement (desirable)
- A collaborative approach and genuine passion for educational architecture
