Architect – Public Sector Projects (Schools & Colleges)

Salary: £Competitive (dependent on experience)

Our client, a well-established architecture practice, is seeking a talented architect to join their team working on meaningful public sector projects across the UK.

About the Role:

You’ll be working on a portfolio of schools, colleges, and educational buildings – projects that make a real difference to communities. From concept design through to completion, you’ll be involved in all RIBA stages, collaborating with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable buildings.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading design development on education sector projects
  • Managing projects through all RIBA stages
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
  • Producing technical drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Ensuring compliance with building regulations and education-specific standards
  • Mentoring junior team members

What We’re Looking For:

  • ARB registered architect with several years’ post-qualification experience
  • Proven track record delivering public sector buildings, particularly schools or colleges
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
  • Knowledge of DfE guidelines and public sector procurement (desirable)
  • A collaborative approach and genuine passion for educational architecture
